- Winter hikes in the surrounding forests: Around Gais you will find easy forest trails ideal for peaceful winter walks in nature. The local Waalweg is especially popular – a gentle route with minimal elevation gain, perfect for relaxed outdoor hours.
- Ice skating and winter fun in the area: In Gais there is a small ice-skating rink in winter (depending on weather conditions), perfect for a relaxed afternoon close to the hotel.
- Pattinaggio su ghiaccio e divertimento invernale nei dintorni: A Gais, in inverno, è disponibile una piccola pista di pattinaggio (a seconda delle condizioni meteo), perfetta per un pomeriggio rilassante senza dover prendere l’auto.
- Ice skating and sports facilities in Bruneck: The Intercable Arena in Bruneck (approx. 10 minutes away) offers ice skating and additional sports facilities – a great option for adding variety to your winter stay.
- Convenient village infrastructure: In Gais you will find a supermarket, bakery, butcher, post office, several bars, restaurants and a bistro – all within walking distance. The nearest pharmacy is located in the neighbouring village of St. Georgen.
- Cultural winter excursions: We recommend visiting Taufers Castle with its guided tours (about 20 minutes away). In Bruneck, the MMM Ripa – Messner Mountain Museum at Bruneck Castle is also well worth a visit.
